The East Cost of Greenland is much more remote and less inhabited than the West Cost. Only 3000 people are living on a stretch of coast of 2700km. The Ammassalik district, that contains five settlements, has the largest part of the East Coast population, formed of Inuit people. Ammassalik is situated at the same latitude as the northern part of Islande. Two types of expeditions are proposed to discover this area, according to your preference and the season: Ski mountaineering in spring or trekking in the summer. |
