Skiing possibilities in Ammassalik district are infinite, with accessible summits ideal for ski mountaineering. The fjord ice is usable until end of April and the best period with sufficient sun starts beginning of March until mid-May.

Transportation from the Kulusuk airport to base camp will be by boat and ski, with dog sledge to carry the equipment. A local company will be hired for these transports.

The base camp will first be situated in the village of Kuummiut, in a rental house, and in the Tasilaq mountain hut.
The detailed program will be done according to the conditions.

2 expeditions with the same base camps:

• Expedition 1: 10 April - 24 April 2010
• Expedition 2: 24 April - 8 May 2010

Price each expedition: 4000.- CHF (2660 Euro)

The price includes:

• International flight on regular line Geneva - Copenhague - Keflavik and Reykjavik - Kulusuk in economy class
• International airport taxes
• Transportation by bus or car as described in the program
• The guide during 2 weeks (Guy Della Valle)
• Accommodation in hotel and rental house and meals, economy standard
• Fees for Museum entrance as planned in the program

The price does not include :

• All insurance and assistance
• Individual equipment
• The drinks and any personal expenses
• Any additional expenses resulting from change in program due to meteorological conditions or in case of force majeure

Additional information

The registration will remain open until two months before departure.
The two excursions will be guided by Guy Della Valle, and the boat transportation provided by a local company.
For participants possibly coming from other countries than Switzerland, the meeting will be at Reykjavik, on the second day.
