Programme of the Summer trip
Ammassalik - Tasiilaq Kuua Valley – Karale Glacier
- day 1: flight Switzerland - Copenhagen - Keflavik, Island, night at Reykjavik
- day 2: flight Reykjavik - Kulusuk, transfer to Tasiilaq, night at Tasiilaq.
- day 3: visit if the town of Tasiilaq (Ammassalik) and surroundings.
- day 4: transfer by boat to the end of Sermilik Fjord, with the visit of Tiniteqilaaq on the way, night in a mountain hut.
- day 5, 6 ,7, 8, 9 : five days trek following Tasiilaq Kuua Valley to reach Tasiilaq Fjord. Camping at night. Easy climb of surrounding mountains on the way, and possibility to fish trout.
- day 10: transfer by boat from Tasiilak Fjord to Kuummiut village.
- day 11: day trip by boat to Kârale Glacier and return to Kuummiut.
- day 12: return trip by boat to Kulusuk.
- day 13: flight Kulusuk - Reykjavik, night at Reykjavik.
- day 14: flight Keflavik - Copenhagen
- day 15 : flight Copenhagen - Geneva
Dates
The favourable time for summer excursions, to take advantage of the midnight sun, is from mid-June to mid-August.
Three successive treks with the same itinerary are proposed at the following dates: 
Ammassalik, summer 2009 :
- Trek 1 : 04 July - 18 July 2009
- Trek 2 : 18 July - 01 August 2009
- Trek 3 : 01 August - 15 August 2009
Ammassalik, summer 2010 :
- Trek 1 : 03 July - 17 July 2010
- Trek 2 : 17 July - 31 July 2010
- Trek 3 : 31 July - 14 August 2010
Budget
Price each trek : 4300.- CHF (2850 Euro)Registration open (confirmed with 4 persons)
The price includes:
- International flight on regular line Geneva - Copenhague - Keflavik and Reykjavik - Kulusuk in economy class
- International airport taxes
- Transportation by bus or car as described in the program
- The guide during 2 weeks (Guy Della Valle)
- Accommodation in hotel and rental house and meals, economic standard
- Fees for Museum entrance as planned in the program
- All insurance and assistance
- Individual equipment
- The drinks and any personal expenses
- Any additional expenses resulting from change in program due to meteorological conditions or in case of force majeure
